I am trying to find out any information on the 315th Infantry Regiment, 79th Infantry Division, and my great uncle was in this regiment died in WW2. The following is the information I have on him;

I am looking for information or possibility of the regiment book with photos. I know back in that time the military gave the soldiers some time of book with their regiment photo and stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I am trying to surprise my father with this. I was able to get him the information of where he was buried and he recently went in August to his gravesite in the Netherlands. This relative is very important to him and has never been able to get any information on him. Please any help would be greatly appreciated.
