Served from March 1943 thru Nov. 1945. Entered @ Camp Grant, Illinois in March 1943 sent to Fort Jackson, S.C. then to Tennessee and then to England Camp Saunton Sands. Then in June 1944 went to Italy. Landed in Cherbourg France then flew to Italy where the Leaning Tower is. Went into combat for a year then went back to Souix Falls, S.D. then to Delahart, Texas. Was discharged from Scott Field, Illinois where I was discharged in November 1945.
